The Beginner Program is specially designed for students of white to yellow-green belt. Students will strengthen skills such as self-discipline, mental readiness, large motor skills, social skills, and coordination in a fun martial arts experience. Much focus will be put on the basics of Taekwondo, such as the integrity and etiquette that are expected from the students.
The Intermediate Program is particularly designed for students from green to blue belt. Classes will aim at fine-tuning the students’ basic Taekwondo skills and building a strong foundation to prepare them to move up to the advanced class. Students will start to learn about sparring in the intermediate classes as well, including the steps and kicking combinations.
The Advanced Program is for students who are Blue-Red belts and above, class programs will include not only the kicking combinations, but also implementing previously learnt sparring skills into practical self-defense. In addition to the Taekwondo elements, the instructors will also start training them in the demonstration aspect, including acrobatics and tricking in class, to help prepare them for free-style poomsae once they become a black belt.
The Red-Black class is exclusively tailored for red-black belt holders, offering specialized training to prepare students thoroughly for their upcoming black belt examinations. This class focuses on honing the advanced skills and knowledge required to excel at the black belt level, ensuring that participants are well-equipped and confident for their impending test.
Black Belt class is designed for all black belts students who already have a solid fundamentals and is ready to move on to more advanced level training. The standards for the physical and mental requirements are much higher than the other classes. Students will also be focusing on several areas, including Poomsae, Tricking, Acrobatics and also Demonstration Kicks.
At U&I Korea Taekwondo, our Black Belt class is more than just mastering kicks and punches. It’s a transformative journey that encompasses leadership development and holistic growth. Students in this class not only hone their martial arts skills but also actively engage in class assistance, a requirement that nurtures leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility. Through this unique approach, our Black Belt students learn the essence of teamwork, discipline, and mentorship, preparing them not just for higher-level Taekwondo techniques but for leadership roles both on and off the mat.
